Bannockburn will welcome back the experienced Tristan Battaglia for tomorrow’s Anzac Day clash with Inverleigh at Inverleigh Reserve.

Coach Ron Pilgrim confirmed one change for the Tigers while speaking to K rock’s Beyond the Boundary podcast.

“We’ve got Tritta back this week; he hasn’t played for two weeks,” he said.

“We should be pretty strong.”

Battaglia replaces youngster Joel Devlin, who played school football for St Joseph’s College today.

“He’s only a 17-year-old, (and) he’s playing across the half-back line,” Pilgrim said.

“He was playing for St Joeys today up at Ballarat against St Pat’s, so we thought we’d give him the day off.

“He’ll go back to under-18 footy on the weekend and get some more confidence up, and then hopefully come back in in the next few weeks.”

Meanwhile, Inverleigh has welcomed back big man Kad McEwan Walsh and premiership duo Jake Templeton and Dan Grozdanovski.

They replace veteran David Peel (injured) and omitted pair Curtis Young and Will Stoney.
