A blow for new Corio coaches Adam Bell and Ross Gemmill, with captain and reigning best-and-fairest Toby Bennett departing the club.
Bennett has signed with Central Highlands club Ballan.
The 24-year-old will depart Shell Reserve with partner Nikita Butcher, who has joined Ballan’s netball section.
Bennett also captained the GDFNL’s interleague team, which defeated Colac and District on the King’s Birthday public holiday, winning the Daryl Jones Medal as the Raiders’ best player.
Meanwhile, two-time Neville Whitley medallist Matt James has signed with Mininera and District club Tatyoon.
James won the second of his Whitley medals with Corio last year.
He played 11 senior games in 2025, but none after Round 12.
