Werribee Centrals playing coach Rhyce Prismall will front the AFL Barwon Tribunal tonight to challenge a suspension in the wake of Saturday’s narrow loss to Bell Post Hill at Galvin Park.
Prismall could have accepted a two-match ban with an early guilty plea for alleged comments directed at umpire Nathan Coppock after a shot at goal by Centurion Cam Saliba that would have won the home team the game was ruled to be after the siren.
Prismall was reported for making an auditory offence towards an umpire.
The Match Review Panel has graded it as high-level abusive, insulting – to an umpire – medium, and low volume.
Lara assistant coach Nathan Evans was reported on the same charge that followed the Cats’ 20-goal loss to Grovedale at Lara Recreation Reserve.
However, the abuse directed towards Brendan Beck was deemed to be on the low level, and he has accepted a one-match suspension.
Torquay will be Tom Diamond for two matches after he lodged an early guilty plea for rough conduct on Anglesea’s Harry Ling in the second quarter of the Tigers’ win at Ellimatta Reserve.
The incident was assessed as careless conduct, involving high contact and high impact, resulting in a three-match sanction.
Thomson hardnut Dylan Jose, and Inverleigh recruit Josh Viney have accepted reprimands for weekend incidents.
Jose was cited for striking Josh Wilson from the Belmont Lions in the final term of the grand final rematch at Godfrey Street.
Viney was nabbed for rough conduct on Bannockburn veteran Aaron Sellar during the last quarter of the Anzac Day clash at Victoria.
The incident involving Viney and Sellar came moments after the North Shore recruit bumped young Hawk Jaiden Reid and received a yellow card.
However, that incident wasn’t assessed by the MRP.
