Finals-bound Bell Post Hill will be with the talented Felix Jones for its Round 18 meeting with Corio after accepting a one-match suspension for an incident in last week’s win over Inverleigh.
The first-year Panther, who joined the club from Hampden League club North Warrnambool, was by AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel for striking the Hawks’ Cooper Sharrock.
The opening-quarter strike was graded as intentional conduct, high contact, and low impact, drawing a two-match sanction.
However, an early guilty plea means Jones will be free to return for Bell Post Hill’s elimination final clash with either Anakie, Inverleigh or Thomson.
Jones’ suspension was the only incident assessed in senior men’s football across the GDFNL, GFNL and Bellarine.
