Thomson has won the right to take on Inverleigh in this weekend’s GDFNL Grand Final after smashing Bell Post Hill by 71 points in Saturday’s Preliminary Final.
The Tigers raced out to a 25-point lead at quarter time, pushing it out to 52 points by the long break.
The Panthers managed to claw back some ground during the third term, but were still 45-points adrift of Thomson heading into the final stanza.
The demolition continued in the last term before the final siren put Bell Post Hill fans out of their misery.
The final score saw Thomson 17.12 (114) defeat Bell Post Hill 6.7 (43).
The victory sets up an interesting season finale after Thomson finished the regular season on top of the GDFL ladder with 15 victories, one more than third-placed Inverleigh.
But the Hawks will go into the Grand Final with fresh legs following last weekend’s 9-point semi-final victory over the Tigers, which gave Inverleigh the week off and forced Thomson to take the long road to possible premiership glory.
