A midfielder/half forward, Mikunda was a standout for Vic Country at the under-18 National Championships.

He also featured at VFL level with Werribee, gathering 15 disposals for seven score involvement in his lone appearance.

However, Mikunda didn’t test at the National Combine due to a hamstring injury.

He was the second Falcon to find an AFL home during the National Draft, following Josh Lindsay, who joined West Coast with pick 19.
