Big names back for grand final rematch

South Barwon and Leopold have strengthened their line-ups for tomorrow’s grand final rematch at McDonald Reserve.

The Swans welcome back Todd White and Ethan Borys from Geelong VFL duty, with Rowan Gough and Ben Kellett returning from injury.

They replace injured forward Jonty Broughton (hamstring), Patrick Cunningham, Aaron Vickey and Dustin Burns.

After being Werribee’s carryover emergency last week, Tylar Watts is back for the reigning premier, along with premiership star Will Sheahan.

They replace youngsters Tait Lunnon-Johnson and Oscar Morphet.

South Barwon hasn’t beaten Leopold since 2021, with the seven-match losing streak including the past two grand finals.

AT SELECTION – ROUND 6

Colac has made two changes for its clash with the struggling Lara at Central Reserve.

Alvie product Fraser Holt will make his debut, while Darcy Howard has been recalled from the reserves,

They replace Brady Hall (concussion protocol) and Luke Hillman.

Newtown & Chilwell and St Albans have each made one change for their meeting at Elderslie Reserve.

The Eagles have lost talented youngster Archer Harkness to an ankle injury, replaced by Alex Dunn.

After his cameo appearance last week, Matt McKenzie returns to the WAFL, with Harry Howarth back after being managed last week.

Bell Park will be strengthened by the inclusion of Ben Lloyd and Oli Hicks for its match-up with Geelong West at Hamlyn Park.

They replace the injured pair of Jack McMahon and Matt Jones.

Grovedale will be without Nathan Deans for the next two months as the 2016 Mathieson medallist enjoys an overseas holiday.

The Tigers have made one change for their clash with North Shore at Burdoo Reserve, with Joel Martyn returning from injury.

The Seagulls will be boosted by including Harry Purcell and Nathan King.
