Colac co-coaches Jason Armistead and Seb Ross have extended their tenure at Central Reserve after re-signing for the 2026 season.
The first-year Tigers duo put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this week.
Armistead returned to the club where he was a star player in the late 1990s and early 2000s before joining GFNL rivals South Barwon.
Following his playing days, he coached Bellarine club Anglesea and was the inaugural coach of the Geelong Falcons when the Talent League introduced a girls competition in 2017.
Armistead was an assistant at Modewarre before agreeing to return to the Tigers.
Ross, who has been limited to four matches in the opening seven rounds, due to a hamstring injury, joined Colac after an impressive AFL career at St Kilda that yielded two best-and-fairests in 211 games.
“We are thrilled to announce that our senior co-coaches, Seb Ross and Jason Armistead, will continue to lead the senior football group through the 2026 season,” a statement from Colac said.
“This reflects the strong alignment between our coaching group, players, and the broader club vision, which brings continuity and stability.
“We are excited that Seb and Armi want to be part of our journey moving forward.
“Seb and Armi, alongside Bluey (Tim) McGrath, Mick Hickey, Anthony Holt, and our junior program led by Ian Seuren and the junior coaches, have all played a huge role in building a culture of accountability, resilience and growth.
“Their influence is felt across every level of the club—from juniors to seniors—and we are confident this will continue to drive us forward.”
Colac sits fourth on the GFNL ladder with a 5-2 win-loss record, with its losses coming against two-time reigning premier Leopold and flag favourites St Joseph’s.
The Tigers face second-placed St Mary’s at Central Reserve tomorrow.
They will wear green armbands as part of an initiative to support farmers struggling with the ongoing drought in Victoria’s southwest.
