Darby Henderson has produced a performance that is unlikely to be replicated in the GFNL, racking up 60 disposals in Lara’s loss to St Joseph’s on Saturday.

According to the numbers crunched by Premier Data following the clash at Lara Recreation Reserve, the gun midfielder had 39 kicks and 21 handballs, with 24 of his possessions contested.

His previous best was 56 disposals against Geelong West in Round 4.

Henderson also had 14 clearances, 12 rebound 50s and six inside 50s in the 121-point defeat.

Aside from the loss to St Albans in Round 11, where he suffered an early concussion, the former Williamstown VFL player has topped 40 disposals in every match he has completed, passing 50 on six occasions.

However, Henderson’s ranking points tally of 204 was only equal fourth among his totals this year.

It’s a season that is likely to earn Henderson GFNL Team of the Year selection, with interest also growing in how he might poll in the Mathieson Medal despite Lara being winless.
