AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel has been asked to investigate an alleged off-the-ball incident from Saturday night’s Colac-Bell Park Opening Round GFNL clash that left Dragons youngster Tom Pearson concussed.
It is understood the umpires officiating the match-up at Central Reserve lodged a request for the MRP to probe the second quarter encounter.
The official match vision didn’t capture the incident, but it’s understood the Dragons have their own footage.
Pearson, who spent the night in hospital in Geelong, will miss this week’s Round 1 clash with Newtown & Chilwell under the 21-day concussion protocol.
With the Dragons not playing Easter weekend, he could return for the meeting with North Shore on April 26.
The MRP will deliver its findings tomorrow (Tuesday).
