Former Geelong VFL player Tyler Norton has become Bell Park’s latest off-season addition.
Norton, who played two games in the Hoops in 2023, has been a star with Ovens and Murray club Wangaratta in recent seasons, helping the Magpies to this year’s grand final.
The 22-year-old also spent two years with Talent League club Murray Bushrangers.
Norton further strengthens the Dragons’ ties with the Border-North East region, with current Dragons Ben Lloyd, Willson Mack, Euriah Hollard and Mitch Mahady among those to hail from that area.
Bell Park will also welcome back Ayden Osborne from GDFNL club Bannockburn.
Osborne joined the Tigers in 2021, playing 51 senior games, including the Tigers’ 2022 premiership.
He is the second player from Bannockburn to land at Hamlyn Park, joining the previously reported move of talented former Geelong Falcon Ryan Perkins.
Meanwhile, reigning premier St Mary’s will have access to Werribee player Sam Azzi in 2026.
Azzi, who featured in the Tigers’ drought-breaking 2024 flag and made a lone appearance for North Shore in 2023, will have the Saints as his interchange club next year.
“Sam is a strong key defender, and is no stranger to the club, offering his support during the season and particularly in the recent finals series,” St Mary’s said in a statement.
“Sam will bring a lot of energy and experience to the senior group.”
