Tom Feely has become the latest confirmed departure from two-time reigning GFNL premier Leopold, bringing to five the number of first-choice players that will ply their trade elsewhere in 2026.

Hampden League club Hamilton Kangaroos has announced Feely will return to his home club via social media.

Feely played his early senior football with the Roos before crossing the border and joining SANFL club Glenelg for two seasons.

Post-COVID, he arrived at Memorial Park, spending five seasons with the Lions, while also playing 26 games across 2022-23 with Geelong’s VFL team.

At Leopold, he made 39 appearances, including the club’s 2024 premiership win.

His 2025 season was impacted by a knee injury suffered in the Round 1 loss to St Joseph’s at Lorne that sidelined him for five matches.

Feely joins Sam Scott, Logan Wagener, Luke Justin, and fellow Hamilton product Andrew Pepper in farewelling Lepold.

Scott will coach Portarlington for the next three years, with Wagener, Justin and Pepper all unveiled as signings by Newcomb in the past week.

2024 grand final best-on-ground Brock Williamson has been linked with joining Scott at the Demons, where he is a junior product.

In all, ten members of last year’s premiership have departed, with Jake Pitt, James Edmonds, Tev Nofi, Ollie Tate and Tom Gordon either playing elsewhere or retiring after beating South Barwon.

Captain Marcus Thompson, dashing half-back Mitch Burgess, ruck Kyle Bumpstead, and the underrated Jett Matthews have re-signed for next year.
