Geelong Falcons graduates Cooper Ward and James Hose have joined GFNL premiership contenders St Joseph’s.
For Ward, it marks a return to Drew Oval after two seasons with Barwon Heads, where he made 15 appearances for the Seagulls, including kicking 16 goals from five games in 2024.
He also finished with 27 goals from 16 games with the Falcons, with a haul of seven against the Oakleigh Chargers, to finish fourth in their best-and-fairest.
From Bannockburn, Hose, who claimed GDFNL Rookie of the Year honours in 2023, also made 16 appearances for the Falcons last year.
The duo is training with VFL club Werribee in the hope of earning a list spot with the reigning premier.
The signing of Ward and Hose follows the previously reported returns of Cal Mitchell (overseas) and Joey Chaplin (Perth) and the signings of Keelin Betson (Mooroopna) and Mitch Chafer (Grovedale).
