Former North Shore small forward Cooper Langan will return to the GFNL after signing with Lara for the 2026 season.
Langan, who spent all of 2022 and part of the 2023 seasons with the Seagulls, has spent the past two years with home club Noosa.
The 21-year-old, who also played at Talent League level with the Western Jets and Brisbane Lions Academy, impressed in his first year with North Shore, kicking 22 goals in 15 games.
He is the first publicly announced signing by the Cats, who have farewelled big man Ryan Bell (Anglesea) and 2022 GFNL Rookie of the Year Cooper Linehan-Cunningham (Werribee Centrals).
Meanwhile, North Shore ruck Andrew Taylor has crossed to St Albans.
Taylor played 27 games in two seasons at Windsor Park after arriving from Wimmera league club Horsham Saints.
He is good friends with fellow Supersaints’ recruit Noah Cockerell, who has joined the club from North Ballarat.
“Andrew is a young and talented ruckman known for his strong aerial work and impressive competitiveness around the ground,” the Supersaints said in a social media post.
“Having spent the last two seasons at North Shore, he brings valuable experience and energy to the Saints’ lineup.
“His addition will perfectly complement our already impressive midfield group, giving our on-ball brigade first use and adding another dynamic presence to our side.”
