Bell Park has locked away coach James Saker for a further two years.
The highly respected mentor, who replaced Shane Jack heading into the 2023 season, guided the Dragons to their first finals appearance since 2017 last year.
In 45 games since taking charge, Saker has 25-19-1 record.
Following a 92-point win over St Albans, Bell Park sits percentage outside the top five with five wins and three losses ahead of a testing match-up with ladder leader St Joseph’s at Hamlyn Park.
“A no-brainer for me, boys,” Saker told his players following the announcement at training.
“I love working with you guys, I love the place, and I wouldn’t be staying around if I didn’t think we could do something really special together.”
Meanwhile, Bellarine club Drysdale has re-appointed Ben Carmichael as coach for a further two years.
A two-time premiership player in the Hawks’ most recent successes in 2009-10, who also played in Leopold’s maiden GFNL flag in 2016, Carmichael has been in charge since 2022.
He spent the first two years sharing the role with Tom Ruggles, with the pair taking the club to the 2023 grand final, before he went solo at the start of last year.
Carmichael has an impressive 53-20-1 win-loss record, which includes sitting fourth after ten rounds of this season with six wins and four losses ahead of a mouthwatering meeting with second-placed Queenscliff this week.
In the GDFNL, it is understood Jayke Mawson has verbally agreed to a third season in charge of Anakie.
At the halfway mark of the season, the Roos sit fourth with five wins and four losses as they chase their first finals appearance since 1998.
After beating Bell Post Hill for the first time since 2008 on Saturday, Anakie sits fourth on the ladder.
