Triple-premiership-winning Leopold duo Sam Scott and Andrew Pepper are free to play in Saturday’s crucial GFNL grand final re-match with South Barwon after accepting reprimands for incidents in last week’s loss to St Mary’s.

The veteran pair received yellow cards and missed 15 minutes of playing time at Memorial Park.

However, AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel’s assessment and an early guilty plea mean both will take on the Swans.

Scott’s high bump on Charlie Sprague in the final quarter and Pepper’s similar action on Noah Biggs were assessed as careless conduct, high contact and low impact, drawing a one-match suspension.

However, the early guilty plea has seen that reduced to a reprimand.

It was the same result for Geelong West recruit Bailey Harvey and Grovedale’s Sam Walker.

Harvey was cited for a third-quarter tackle on South Barwon’s Dan Richardson in the Giants’ loss at McDonald Reserve, which was assessed as careless conduct, high contact and low impact.

While Walker’s rough conduct on Newtown & Chilwell’s Charlie Harris in the opening quarter of the Tigers’ loss at Burdoo Reserve was assessed as careless conduct, body contact and low impact.

The MRP also looked at the third-quarter melee between Leopold and St Mary’s, while the incident in Colac’s loss to St Joseph’s at Drew Oval that saw Tiger Brady Hall enter concussion protocols was cleared.

No charges were laid in the GDFNL.
