The lure of playing in marquee games again proved too hard for Luke Webb to resist when deciding where to play his football in 2024.
The two-time St Joseph’s premiership player spent last year with Bendigo League club Strathfieldsaye.
However, he hasn’t skipped a beat on his return to Drew Oval, starring on Anzac Day and yesterday’s (Sunday’s) thrilling one-point win over St Mary’s in the Big Freeze game at Drew Oval.
“These are the games that I wanted to come back for,” Webb told krockfootball.live.
“Obviously, (we’ve) had a few already, and it’s been really good for the team to stand up.
“And to see blokes like Joshy Nurnaitis come in for their first game and crack in, and lead the way, it feels like there’s something special building in this group.”
