South Barwon has secured the signature of one of the GDFNL’s most talented youngsters.
The reigning GFNL runner-up has confirmed the signing of Bannockburn forward Cal Hetherington, beating out St Joseph’s for the services of the 22-year-old.
K rock Football reported last month that Hetherington was looking to test himself at the highest level locally.
A member of the Tigers’ 2022 premiership team, Hetherington kicked 38 goals in 17 games this year, including an impressive four-goal effort in the elimination final loss to East Geelong.
He is the third announced arrival at McDonald Reserve, joining Geelong Falcons graduate Ethan Borys (Grovedale) and Paddy Kelly (Nullawil).
