South Barwon is likely to go without a training run on McDonald Reserve before its first home game of the GFNL season.
Upgrade works have seen last year’s grand finalists continue to train at South Barwon Reserve, and coach Mark Neeld has told K rock’s Beyond the Boundary podcast the Swans will remain down Settlement Road until their Round 2 meeting with Lara.
“The City of Greater Geelong are currently doing some works that will extend beyond the cricket season there,” he said.
“It’s good to see the City of Greater Geelong getting behind the local footy leagues and doing a little bit of work on the grounds.
“Last year, halfway through, most of them didn’t have any grass.
“So, they’re working on that, which is great.”
