Cam Edwards has become the latest Lara player to find a new home, joining fellow GFNL club Geelong West.
Edwards made 38 senior appearances for the Cats after making his debut in the middle of the 2023 season.
He played every game in 2024 and all but one last year.
“Cam is known for his contested possessions and clearance work; we can’t wait to see him join our midfield brigade this season,” the Giants said on social media.
Joining Edwards at West Oval is fellow Cat Kaden Marum.
A Lara junior, he played ten senior reserves matches in 2024 in his first year of open-age football before having last year off.
“(He) hasn’t missed a beat since joining the Giants’ group. He will be another handy addition to our backline,” the post continued.
The move of Edwards and Marum follows the announcement of Cats defender Brodie Cambridge joining reigning Bellarine premier Anglesea.
Former North Shore forward Cooper Langan, who signed with Lara late last year, has joined Western League club Point Cook Centrals.
Meanwhile, North Shore has unveiled former Gold Coast Academy member Cody Harrison from Brisbane-based club Mt Gravatt.
Harrison returned to football in the past two years after turning his attention to Muay Thai.
