GEELONG Falcons can take another step towards booking a berth in the NAB League Girls Finals when it travels to Williamstown for a meeting with the Western Jets on Sunday.
The Falcons, who sit on top of the ladder unbeaten after five rounds, are two games and a significant chunk of percentage clear of fifth spot with four rounds remaining.
However, coach Jason Armistead says they are only focussed on the clash with the Jets, who sit 10th with a 1-4 win-loss record.
“You do start looking forward a little bit, from a coaches point-of-view, for planning; “how are we going to build over the next few weeks?”,” he said.
“But the players just worry about we do this week.”
The Falcons have made three changes for Sunday’s game.
Captain Lucy McEvoy will be missing through AFL Academy commitments, while Jarrah Hecker and Issy Long are unavailable.
Gabbi Featherston, daughter of late former Falcons big man Peter, from Colac Imperials, Torquay’s Bree Case and St Joseph’s Tameika Lewis, daughter of North Shore great Nathan, will all make their debut.
Abbey Chapman will captain the Falcons in McEvoy’s absence.
