NORTH Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein has shunned interest from Geelong to re- sign with the Kangaroos, in a huge coup for the AFL club.
The table-topping Cats chased hard after Goldstein to solve their ruck depth by offering a four-year-deal, but the 31-year-old All Australian wanted to stay a one-club player.
Goldstein signed a new three-year deal, saying his love for the Kangaroos won him over.
“I had a lot to weigh up when the season finished, but ultimately my love for North, my teammates and the people here won me over,” Goldstein said in a statement.
“I’ve always said I wanted to see out my career at Arden St and be a one-club player, so I’m thrilled to be able to do that now.”
