Jed Bews will make his first AFL appearance of the season, but Tom Atkins will be sidelined for another week among three changes to the Geelong team for Saturday’s meeting with North Melbourne at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena.

30-year-old Bews, out of contract at the end of the season, last played in the final round of last season.

The Cats have also included Tanner Bruhn and Shannon Neale.

Bruhn last featured at AFL level in the Round 13 loss to Sydney before fracturing his scaphoid in the lead-up to the loss to Carlton after the bye.

He produced a dominant performance in last week’s VFL draw with Footscray in his return to action.

Neale was a late withdrawal from the AFL loss to the Bulldogs.

Zach Tuohy has been managed, with Brandan Parfitt and Mitch Knevitt dropped.

Tuohy, Parfitt and Rhys Stanley are the Cats’ emergencies.
