CAT ATTACK PODCAST

Experienced defender Jed Bews will get a chance to stake his claim for a finals berth after being named as Shannon Neale’s replacement for Geelong’s Round 24 clash with Richmond at the MCG.

Bews, whose first half of the season was impacted by an off-field hand injury, has made three AFL appearances in 2025, with his most recent coming in the Round 11 win over the Western Bulldogs.

Young midfielders Mitch Knevitt, Jhye Clark, and Ted Clohesy are the emergencies, ruling out any hope of Mitch Duncan getting a farewell game in the Hoops.

Neale will miss the match-up with the Tigers after being suspended for one match following a high bump on Sydney’s Jake Lloyd in the 43-point win over the Swans.

Richmond has named Josh Gibcus for his first AFL game since Round 1 last year and recalled Luke Trainor.

They replace injured veteran Nick Vlastuin and youngster Steely Green
