Geelong will debut Connor O’Sullivan but hold back captain Patrick Dangerfield for Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium.
O’Sullivan was selected with the Cats’ first pick in last year’s National Draft from the Murray Bushrangers.
He has been named in a back pocket for the meeting with the winless Roos.
Danger, who turned 34 last week, hasn’t played since suffering the injury in the closing stages of the Round 2 win over Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Geelong has named Zach Tuohy (ankle) and Jake Kolodjashnij (quad) after both passed tests on minor injuries.
Young big Shannon Neale has been named on an extended bench in favour of Toby Conway, along with round four emergency Shaun Mannagh.
Rhys Stanley will make his 200th AFL appearance.
After 58 games with St Kilda, Stanley joined the Cats ahead of the 2015 season and has played 141 games, including the 2022 premiership win over Sydney.
