Cats fixture released

A Friday night blockbuster against Collingwood, Saturday night meetings in Melbourne against Essendon and St Kilda, and one at GMHBA Stadium against the Western Bulldogs highlight Geelong’s round 16-23 fixture.

The AFL confirmed the next block of the floating fixture today (Tuesday).

The Cats also have two Saturday twilight meetings at home against Hawthorn and Adelaide, a trip to Hobart for a return bout with North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena, and their lone trek to WA, where they will play the Fremantle Dockers.

“It has been a thrilling start to the 2024 season; great footy, big games, big events, setting us up for one of the great seasons on record,” the AFL’s Head of Broadcast Operations and Scheduling Josh Bowler said.

“Fans have turned up in record numbers and we are set up for an electrifying second half of the season.

“We have big competitive matchups in the marquee slots, including a string of blockbuster Friday night games heading into finals.

“Although there are no further Thursday night matches this season, as we transition to new broadcast
arrangements in 2025, we will look to continue to build on the growth and success we saw this season having already delivered 14 in a row.”

Round 24 will be scheduled later in the season.

All Geelong games will be broadcast live on FM 95.5 across Geelong and the Surf Coast, krockfootball.live, and FM 88,0 at the MCG.
