Geelong has named Next Generation Academy selection Blake Schlensog on an extended bench on what would be his first VFL home-and-away appearance.

The Cats look set to field up to 16 AFL-listed players, however, they are likely to hold one over for the AFL team’s Easter Monday meeting with Hawthorn.

Curtis McCarthy, brother of former Geelong forward Linc, will play as 23rd man, replacing Charlie Wilson.

Defender Campbell Floyd has also gone out of the team that was defeated by the Blues.
