Another piece in Geelong’s pre-season puzzle has fallen into place, with confirmation of opponent, venue and date for the club’s Community Series clash.
The Cats will face Carlton at IKON Park on Wednesday, February 25, in a clash starting at 7:10pm.
Geelong was most recently at the Blues’ traditional home for match simulation in 2024, with the last proper pre-season match at the venue in 2011.
The Cats’ last match before IKON Park ceased being an AFL home-and-away venue was Round 2, 2004.
Geelong will hold its Community Camp in Warrnambool on February 3-4, with its match simulation likely to be the week before the meeting with Carlton.
The Cats start their campaign proper with an Opening Round match-up against the Suns on the Gold Coast on Friday, March 6.
