Cats to face Dogs in Gather Round

Geelong will face the Western Bulldogs in a Saturday night matchup at Adelaide Oval as part of next year’s AFL Gather Round.

The April 6 meeting with the Bulldogs is part of a doubleheader at the venue, with Fremantle and Carlton to do battle earlier in the day.

The Cats will face the Dogs off a five-day break, with the traditional Easter Monday clash with Hawthorn falling on April 1.

Geelong defeated West Coast by 47 points in this year’s inaugural Gather Round in an early Sunday game.

AFL ROUND 1 – CATS TO OPEN NEW STAND AGAINST SAINTS

The rest of Gather Round – which is Round 4 of the season – starts on Thursday, April 5, with Adelaide hosting Melbourne.

As they did in 2023, the AFL will play games at Norwood Oval and one in the Adelaide Hills at Mt Barker.

The entire AFL fixture will be released later this week.
