Geelong has named Jhye Clark to make his return from a second concussion suffered last month for tomorrow’s VFL clash with the GWS Giants at ENGIE Stadium.
Clark has been sidelined since the Cats’ narrow win over reigning premier Werribee in Round 12, which came four weeks after entering the concussion protocol following the clash with Port Melbourne.
Also named for Geelong, which sits in 15th-place, two games outside the top 10, are debutant Oscar Pollock (South Barwon via Port Fairy), Taj Wyburd (Ocean Grove) and Joey Chaplin (St Joseph’s).
They replace AFL trio Mitch Duncan (AC joint), Oli Wiltshire (concussion) and Lenny Hofmann (injured), while Pollock’s South Barwon teammate Tom Peirce has been omitted after making his debut last week.
The fourth-placed Giants will feature former VFL Cat and Colac product Liam McCarthy, who is playing community football with Ovens and Murray club Corowa-Rutherglen, for his third VFL appearance of the year.
