CAM Guthrie will play his first game in more than a month when he lines up in Geelong’s VFL clash with Northern Blues at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday.

The 26-year-old has been sidelined during the opening three AFL rounds with calf tightness and will have to force his way back into the senior team through some good VFL form.

Guthrie, who has been named S is among at least two changes the Cats will make for the meeting with the Blues.

Jordan Cunico (ankle) and Dan Capiron are the confirmed outs from the team that lost to Richmond last Friday night.

Ex-Geelong AFL listed defender Aaron Black has been named at centre half-back for his first match since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against former club North Melbourne on June 9 last year.

Draftee Ben Jarvis is also set to play his first VFL home-and-away match, giving the Cats a 15-strong AFL contingent.

After impressing at GFL level last week, Bell Park’s Luke Smith and St Joseph’s Jackson McLachlan have been added to extended interchange bench, as has Koroit’s James Gow.
