MATCH-winning goalkicker Jack Henry only found out less than 20 minutes before the first bounce he would be playing forward in Geelong’s thrilling three-point win over Richmond at the MCG.
In his first AFL game since suffering a foot injury in the Easter Monday loss to Hawthorn, the Carji Greeves medal runner-up was forced into an unfamiliar part of the ground when illness forced Gary Rohan out of the Cats’ side.
“It happened a few times last year where I had to swing forward for a half or so,” Henry told K rock Football post-match.
“I wasn’t too worried, or tried not to overthink it.”
