Geelong is hoping that the injury issues that have resulted in Jackie Parry and Kate Darby undergoing scans following Saturday’s loss to North Melbourne aren’t too serious.

Parry, who kicked a first-quarter goal, experienced knee soreness during the final term of the GMHBA Stadium clash.

Darby was forced from the ground in the opening quarter with a calf issue.

“Jackie was initially assessed on the boundary line and underwent scans on Monday.” Geelong’s AFLW boss Dominique Condo said.

“We will have a clearer picture later this week what her availability looks like for Sunday’s game.

“Similar to Jackie, Kate underwent scans on Monday, and we should have a clearer picture later this week.”

If Parry and Darby were ruled out of Sunday’s meeting with the Crows in Adelaide, Geelong will have just enough players to fill the 21 plus three emergencies.
