Geelong has rewarded Oisín Mullin for his consistent 2025, signing the Irishman to a two-year contract extension.
The 25-year-old from County Mayo has played 18 of a possible 19 matches this season for a career total of 36 since arriving at the Cats ahead of 2023.
Mullin has spent time in defence, limiting the influence of St Kilda goalsneak Jack Higgins in Round 19.
He also earned praise for a role he played on Brownlow Medal favourite Nick Daicos in Geelong’s win in Round 8.
“Oisín has shown enormous growth in a short space of time and continues to impress us with his work ethic and willingness to learn,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“As with all our Irish players, we understand the enormity of the decision to move to Australia, we love having Oisín as part of our program, and we can’t wait to see him play an important role for us over the next two years and beyond.”
Mullin’s signature leaves 11 Geelong players without a deal for next year, including premiership veterans Mitch Duncan, Rhys Stanley, Jed Bews and Cam Guthrie, youngsters George Stevens, Mitch Knevitt and Oli Wiltshire, and rookies Ted Clohesy, Joe Pike, Patrick Retschko and Xavier Ivisic.
