JAKE Kolodjashnij will remain in the Hoops until at least the end of 2021 after signing a two-year contract extension with Geelong.
The 23-year-old has played 70 games since being taken with pick No.41 in the 2013 National Draft from Launceston.
“Jake continues to learn and develop, as he has done since he first arrived at the club. He is an integral part of where we are going as a football club,” Cats football boss Simon Lloyd said.
“He is a very consistent player and fits our team ethos. We are pleased that the club and Jake could reach this agreement so easily and quickly and look forward to him continuing with the club into the future.”
Kolodjashnij played the first game of the JLT Series against West Coast but sat out the win over Essendon due to injury.
14 players remain out-of-contract at the end of 2019 following Kolodjashnij’s re-signing, including veterans Gary Ablett, Harry Taylor, Lachie Henderson, Scott Selwood and Zac Smith, as well as injury-hit youngster Nakia Cockatoo.
