Geelong small forward Gryan Miers will remain in the Hoops until at least the end of 2028 after signing a two-year contract extension.
Already contracted for next year, the 26-year-old would have become eligible for free agency at the end of the 2027 season.
“Gryan is an integral part of our playing group who brings clear attributes on the field and continues to develop strong leadership away from it,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“He is a valuable part of our list, and it’s great news for those involved with our club to have him in the Hoops until at least the end of 2028.”
A product of local club Grovedale, Miers joined Geelong via the 2017 National Draft after kicking seven goals in a best-on-ground performance in the Geelong Falcons TAC Cup grand final win over Sandringham Dragons.
He spent the 2018 season in the VFL before making his AFL debut against Collingwood in Round 1 of the following year.
Miers has now made 138 appearances and kicked 102 goals, including the 2022 premiership.
He has made a name for himself as one of the AFL’s craftiest players, highlighted by a record 41 goal assists in 2023.
