Geelong has confirmed the re-signing of forward Shaun Mannagh and emerging big man Mitch Edwards.
Mannagh has inked a one-year deal that keeps him at the Cats until the end of 2026, while Edwards will be in the Hoops for a further two years.
The new deals come after commitments in recent weeks from Brad Close, Jeremy Cameron, Sam De Koning, Ollie Henry, Shannon Neale and Toby Conway.
“We are thrilled both Shaun and Mitch have committed to the Club, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow,” Geelong football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“When we drafted Shaun, we knew he had the potential to make an immediate impact for us.
Being a mature-aged draftee, Shaun has become a valuable teammate on and off the field, offering both support to our emerging group of players while also having an impact and complementing our senior group of players.
“Mitch has shown great potential, and while he’s faced a few injury setbacks, he is a long-term, developing prospect, and we look forward to seeing what he can do over the next two seasons.”
Mannagh and Edwards both arrived at GMHBA Stadium via the 2023 National Draft.
Mannagh joined the Cats with pick 36 from VFL club Werribee, and he made 12 AFL appearances, including both finals, in 2024.
After a foot issue hampered his pre-season, he broke into the AFL team last week.
206cm Edwards was taken four picks before Mannagh.
He played three VFL games last year in an injury-interrupted first season and is working his way back from a pelvis issue, with the hope he will play later this month.
The re-signing of Edwards and Mannagh leaves 15 Cats without a deal for next year, including reigning Rising Star Ollie Dempsey, young midfielder Mitch Knevitt, veteran Tom Atkins, Irishman Oisin Mullin and uncapped forward Oli Wiltshire.
