Geelong has re-signed seven players as its list for the 2026 AFLW season takes shape.

After making four additions during the recent trade period, the Cats have locked away five players on two-year deals while extending two veterans for one season.

Three-time best-and-fairest Amy McDonald, defender Georgie Rankin, Irish gun Kate Kenny, first-year revelation Emma Kilpatrick, and youngster Alexis Gregor will remain in the Hoops until at least the end of 2027.

Veteran small forward Kate Surman and the returning Chantel Emonson, who missed the 2025 season after giving birth to her first child, have signed one-year contracts.

“This season was a great one for Amy, Georgie, Emma, Alexis, and Kate Kenny, and it’s good to see they will continue to run out in the Hoops going forward,” Head of AFLW Dominique Condo said.

“Amy’s leadership continues to grow, as we saw with her taking on the role of co-vice-captain and stepping up on occasion as acting captain.

“Georgie also stepped up again with her leadership and the way she went about her football, and it was great to see that effort rewarded with strong performances on the field.

“Kate Surman and Kate Kenny both adopted new roles at stages this season, and both were important in our forward half and getting the ball into attack.

“And we were also thrilled to see how well Emma and Alexis adjusted to AFLW level, but it was no surprise to see all their hard work on the track translate well to games.”

Geelong will have three picks in Monday’s AFLW Draft – selections 7, 25 and 43.
