Scans on Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield’s hamstring injury have returned positive, with the 35-year-old set to miss no more than two matches.

The veteran of 347 games was forced from the ground during the first quarter of the Cats’ 76-point hammering of Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

“Following scans on Monday, Pat is expected to miss the next one to two weeks with a low-grade right hamstring strain,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.

Meanwhile, Geelong will provide an update on Jack Bowes, who suffered a hamstring injury early in the contest, tomorrow.

“Jack had scans late this afternoon on his right hamstring with a return to play timeline to be confirmed tomorrow once our medical team have had the chance to review the results,” Makie said.
