GEELONG big man Zac Smith will start his journey back to regaining the No.1 ruck mantle in Friday’s VFL practice match against Collingwood at Olympic Park Oval.

Smith, who played just three AFL games in 2018 and is out-of-contract at the end of this year, has been sidelined with a knee injury suffered in a practice match against North Melbourne on February 20.

The former Sun is one of 16 AFL-listed players that will take on the Magpies in what is Geelong’s third of four pre-season hitouts before the VFL season commences on April 5.
