CATS defender Sam De Koning has been cleared of concussion and is set to return for Geelong’s Gather Round clash with the Eagles at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
The young gun has been named in the starting 18 of the Cats’ extended squad, after missing Geelong’s Easter Monday win against the Hawks.
Gary Rohan (suspension) and Jed Bews (injured) will both miss the unique clash on neutral turf, with the club withdrawing its appeal for Rohan’s one-game ban late Thursday afternoon.
Tanner Bruhn, Sam Simpson, Brandon Parfitt and Mitch Knevitt are a chance to return to the side after they were named on an extended bench.
The Cats take on the Eagles this Sunday at 1.10pm AEST at Adelaide Oval in the league’s first Gather Round.
