Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs, affectionately known as Bonehead, has announced he will be absent from the band’s upcoming Australian concerts to continue his prostate cancer treatment.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year, Arthurs successfully participated in Oasis shows across the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US, and Mexico. “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour,” Arthurs shared on social media platform X.

However, in his latest statement, Arthurs confirmed he would miss the next leg of the tour, encompassing South Korea, Japan, and Australia, to undergo further cancer treatment. “I’m really sad to be missing these shows, but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America,” he added. “Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November.”

Oasis is scheduled to perform in Melbourne on October 31, November 1, and November 4, followed by Sydney dates on November 7 and November 8.
