Fire crews have been called to reports of a fire in a cell at Lara’s Barwon Prison.
Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) says arrived just after 9.20am Monday, to find the flames had already been extinguished.
However, firefighters entered the cell to ensure it was safe, with the incident deemed under control within 20 minutes.

It comes after another incident at the prison on Sunday afternoon.
Meantime, FRV crews were also called to reports of a house fire in Whittington late on Monday morning.
That broke out on Aldrin Court 10.40am.
The incident was brought under control before 11am.
