Police have seized a significant quantity of illicit tobacco and nicotine products in Belmont and Mount Duneed.
A service station searched on Roslyn Road yesterday, while a 38 year old Mt Duneed man was arrested.
“Officers from Waurn Ponds executed a search warrant at a service station on Roslyn Road in Belmont as part of an ongoing investigation,” police said in a statement.
“A warrant was also executed at a residential address in Mount Duneed, where a 38-year-old man was arrested.”
Police allegedly seized more than 3,000 imported cigarettes and close to 13,000 nicotine pouches, as well as cash and vaping products.
The man was not charged, but is set to be charged on summons.
Police say they are continuing to target the illicit tobacco trade as part of targeting criminal activity in the Geelong region.
