The GDFNL has turned to one of the region’s most experienced and successful coaches to lead its first interleague campaign in six years, appointing Thomson premiership mentor Paul Lynch.
President Neville Whitley revealed Lynch’s appointment for the clash with the Colac and District League on K rock’s Beyond the Boundary podcast.
Lynch, who guided the Tigers to the flag from an elimination final last year, has also experienced success at GFNL clubs Lara and Colac and Colac and District club Birregurra.
The clash, to be played at Winchelsea’s Eastern Reserve on the King’s Birthday public holiday, Monday, June 8, will be an under-25 format.
“We’re locked into a coach, so now we can look at players,” Whitley said.
