Anakie coach Jayke Mawson says early discussions have started with the club on extending his coaching tenure into 2027.
Mawson, who became a father for the first time in recent weeks, guided the Roos to their first finals appearance in 26 years last year after taking on the role late in 2023.
He says president Heath Menhennet recently started the conversation about next year.
“Heath’s pretty onto it… we had a good chat the other day,” Mawson told K rock Football.
“With the little one and with everything going around, I’ll weigh up the pros and cons and see where I want to go.
“I probably will coach there. I would be surprised if I wouldn’t.
“I want to try and get that end-game flag, but (there’s) still a little bit to weigh up.”
