THE aligning of the Victorian Talent League boys and girls seasons will see the Geelong Falcons feature in several double-headers in 2023.

There will be at least six chances to see the Falcons in action together this year, including once at Deakin on April 1.

However, at this stage, that will be the only time the Falcons boys will take place in the city they’re named after, with ‘home’ games also fixtured for Colac and Werribee.

The Falcons girls make three straight appearances at Deakin to open the season but won’t play again in Geelong as their season extends to 13 matches for the first time.

The boys will also play 13 home-and-away matches, with a ‘wildcard’ round scheduled to determine seedings ahead of the finals series.

Former Geelong AFLW captain Mel Hickey will take charge of the Falcons girls from Paul Corrigan, who remains head of the boys program.
