Four Geelong Falcons will get the chance to represent Vic Country at this under-18 National Championships.
Bell Park’s Xavier Ivisic, St Mary’s Lachie Jacques, Colac’s Ben Rongdit, and River Stevens from Newtown & Chilwell have been selected in the 32-man squad coached by Falcons mentor Paul Corrigan.
Rongdit, who attends Geelong Grammar with Ivisic, is a Geelong Next Generation Academy prospect.
Stevens is the son of North Melbourne great Anthony and is eligible to join the Roos as a father-son selection.
Vic Country opens its campaign against South Australia at IKON Park on Sunday.
The squad then travels to Perth for a June 29 meeting with Western Australia, followed by matchups with Allies on July 7 and Vic Metro on July 14.
Meanwhile, the Geelong Falcons boys will play their first Talent League match on the Surf Coast since 2017 next weekend.
The Falcons will host the Northern Knights at Torquay’s McCartney Oval (Spring Creek Reserve) on Sunday, June 16.
