A trio of Geelong Falcons and a rising Geelong VFL star have been selected in this week’s AFL Victoria Young Guns game.

Overage Falcons Liam Kershaw (St Joseph’s), Joe Pike (Barwon Heads), Will McLachlan (Colac), and Cat Tobyn Murray (Colac) will get the chance to impress AFL recruiters in a two-game series against the Vic Metro and Vic Country under-18 squads.

The quartet are all eligible for this year’s mid-season draft, scheduled for May 29.

Murray has kicked six goals from three VFL appearances for the Cats, including four against Box Hill in Round 2.

Game one of the Young Guns series is against Vic Metro at Werribee’s Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday at 4:20pm.
