GFNL grand finalists St Mary’s and South Barwon have each settled on two changes for Friday’s decider at GMHBA Stadium.
The Saints welcome back Ryan Pendlebury and Fletcher Hughes after both missed the second semi-final win over the Swans.
Pendlebury was on coaching duties with Geelong’s AFLW team, while Hughes was preparing for a preliminary final with VFL club Port Melbourne.
They replace Nick Dowling, who can consider himself unlucky after making 15 senior appearances in 2026, and young ruck Tom Myers.
South will be boosted by the inclusion of Geelong VFL duo Paddy Kelly and Zach Stevens.
The experienced Jonty Broughon, who featured in the Swans’ grand final losses to Leopold in 2023 and 2024, and Ocean Grove recruit Jamison Hallam make way.
The consolation for Dowling, Myers, Broughton and Hallam is that St Mary’s and South Barwon will do battle in the reserves grand final.
